According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs, "Ali Mohammad Ghaderi", the head of the Welfare Organization, in a video speech at the 15th conference of the member states of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, stated that the Welfare Organization is the national authority for implementing the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities explained: Iran is one of the countries that acceded to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the first years after its ratification, and since then has changed many of its domestic laws in accordance with this Convention and in order to make the rights of persons with disabilities a mainstream.
The head of State Welfare Organization stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in addition to trying to implement the provisions of the Convention, has also cooperated constructively with international human rights mechanisms related to the disabled. In 2013, in line with the recommendations of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2017, SWO established a special mechanism to coordinate the activities of various domestic organizations in matters related to the implementation of the International Convention on the Disability, as well as domestic law. He continued: "This special mechanism, today with the wide participation of groups representing the disabled community, is preparing the second, third and fourth reports of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which will soon be presented in the form of a comprehensive report to the Committee for the Disabled." The head of State welfare organization continued: "In reviving the society after Corona, special attention has been paid to the needs of the disabled, and their participation in returning to normal conditions has been attracted;" Also, the participation of active groups in the field of the disabled in all decision-making processes related to this group has been attracted and encouraged.
Ghaderi concluded: "Currently, some of these services and drugs affected by sanctions are provided to the target community through domestic manufacturers and knowledge-based companies."
