In a cordial joint meeting with the representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), he said: "There are two organizations in the Islamic Republic of Iran that provide services to children with special needs. The Organization for the Education and Development of Exceptional Children, which is responsible for the education and rehabilitation of these children, and the Welfare Organization, which provides support, rehabilitation, relief, etc. services to 8 million people directly and indirectly covered."
He added: "We are very interested in having comprehensive interactions with you. We have defined policies called socialization and development of partnerships in welfare and we believe that these policies have two dimensions, one is national and domestic in all dimensions and the ecosystem of partnership must be established in welfare, and one is international and interacts effectively and closely with international organizations in all aspects."
The head of State welfare organization said: "The specialized deputies of the welfare organization, considering the experiences they have had from cooperating with UNICEF, are ready to plan in detail with UNICEF to support children, women heads of households, etc.
He added: "UNICEF's activities are very precise and calculated, and I have been familiar with UNICEF's activities for more than thirty years. We look at organizations like UNICEF as an opportunity for welfare and we are currently in the most prosperous season of joint cooperation between UNICEF and the welfare organization."
The UNICEF representative in Iran also said in this meeting, referring to the long-standing cooperation between the Welfare Department and UNICEF: "We have come with an approach and spirit of cooperation and we follow the rules.
UNICEF has always had good cooperation with the Welfare Department, and to expand cooperation, we must act more accurately and resolve challenges."
