According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs, Dr. Seyed Javad Hosseini, head of the country's Welfare Organization, in a meeting with Ms. Li Dongmei, Vice President of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, stated: Before meeting with you, we were fortunate enough to visit the exhibition of achievements of people with disabilities in China. He added: We saw many good achievements, especially the participation of non-governmental organizations, and we realized how many areas of joint activities in the field of social welfare and empowerment of people with disabilities exist and can exist between the two countries. Referring to the structure of the Iranian Welfare Organization, Hosseini said: The Islamic Republic of Iran has an organization called the Welfare Organization, which I am responsible for. This organization has 17,000 official employees and 23,000 non-governmental institutions that receive licenses from this organization and carry out various activities. Explaining the services of this organization, he added: 8 million of the Iranian population are directly and indirectly covered by the services of the Welfare Organization, for example, 1.6 million people with disabilities who also receive pensions. Ms. Li Dongmei, Vice President of the China Disabled Persons Federation, also thanked Dr. Hosseini for his explanations and said: I would like to thank you for your kindness in coming to the exhibition of the disabled that was prepared by our organization. Referring to the statistics of the disabled in China, he said: 85 million people with disabilities live in China. These people are divided into 7 areas; Some are blind, some are hard of hearing and deaf, others have physical, mental, speech and other disabilities. Referring to the place of residence of these people, the Chinese representative emphasized: 80 percent of these people that I mentioned to your Excellency live in rural and suburban areas. He clarified about the policies of the Chinese government: The Chinese government pays very special attention to people with disabilities. The President also emphasizes that we must pay special attention and special attention to people with disabilities. Li Dongmei said: People with disabilities in China not only enjoy the privileges that are given to all people, but they also receive more special privileges, for example, in the area of ​​special care for them or in the area of ​​receiving a living allowance and subsistence allowance.
