Tajikistan has the most cultural similarities with Iran

Dr. Seyed Javad Hosseini, Deputy Minister and Head of the National Welfare Organization, and a group of officials from the field of empowerment of the National Welfare Organization met and discussed with Shadi Khan Jamshid, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the People of the Republic of Tajikistan, and his deputies, during a remote meeting.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department, in this meeting, which was held to exchange information and share the lived experiences of the two countries in the field of social protection, Dr. Hosseini, pointing out that Tajikistan has the most common cultural area with Iran, said: "I hope that by working together we can serve the vulnerable groups, beneficiaries, etc. more than in the past, and based on the ancient culture of both countries, serving the disadvantaged is a desirable practice with a long history."

Referring to the large scale of this organization among government organizations in Iran, the head of state Welfare Organization said: "Fortunately, we have delegated more than 90 percent of our missions to the public sector, and 24,000 non-governmental centers and institutions across the country provide services to welfare recipients. There are also very valuable experiences from these services after the Islamic Revolution of Iran that can be shared with Tajikistan."

Dr. Hosseini, pointing out that this meeting will deepen cooperation between the two countries, said: "We will focus the main work on the community sector, and at first glance, we emphasize the transfer of experiences in field visits to centers in both countries, improving skills, training and employment in order to empower people with disabilities and women at risk of harm, establishing and developing professional workshops, and holding exhibitions to sell products produced by people with disabilities and women heads of households."

The head of state welfare organization said: "Remote rehabilitation is also a field of new rehabilitation models that can be shared. Also, the capacity of donors and organizations to improve services in Iran and Tajikistan can be seriously used."

He invited officials of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the People of the Republic of Tajikistan to visit the centers of the Welfare Organization in Iran and said:"These centers carry out various types of activities in ranks, strata, modern models, etc. Also, social emergency, positive life centers, family-like center projects, etc. are successful and transferable and shareable Iranian projects for you."

Shadi Khan Jamshid, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the People of the Republic of Tajikistan, also continued the meeting, referring to the President's visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, saying: "During this visit between two friendly, close and culturally brotherly countries, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and this has strengthened cooperation in empowering people with disabilities. We are very pleased with this event and are impatiently awaiting the implementation of the clauses of this memorandum."

In the continuation of this meeting; a request for technical and vocational training for the affected and vulnerable groups of Tajikistan was raised, as well as an invitation to the head and officials of the Welfare Organization to attend and visit the Republic of Tajikistan. It is recalled that the purpose of holding this webinar was to review the details of the action plan for cooperation between the Welfare Organization and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan and to operationalize the clauses of the cooperation plan between the two countries.
