According to the Public Relations and International Affairs report, Dr. Fatemeh Abbasi, referring to the need to pay special attention to people with disabilities and special and vulnerable segments of society in disasters, said: "From the first hours of the recent crisis, urgent measures were put on the agenda to prepare more than five thousand active facilitators and community-based rehabilitation project workers. In addition to issuing a comprehensive guide to preparedness for dealing with disasters and war crises specifically for facilitators, special coordination, organization, and continuous reporting from across the country are being carried out."
The Deputy of Rehabilitation of the State Welfare Organization also added: "During this period, in addition to carrying out general affairs by rehabilitation facilitators and experts across the country, despite the existing restrictions on communication and access, special measures were taken such as informing about important links available on the national internet, first aid instructions for the general public during war, sharing a handbook for the elderly and caregivers during crises, Red Crescent recommendations for stress control, medical equipment, health services and vital tips, safety recommendations for people in emergency situations, crisis preparedness guidance, mental and social health preparedness guidance, and sharing emergency telephone numbers."
Abbasi, while announcing the readiness of all staff and provincial colleagues in the field of rehabilitation, along with other hardworking colleagues of the Welfare Organization, to provide round-the-clock service to compatriots in all areas of duty and wishing success to the brave men in the field of defending the homeland, warned against the harm caused by the enemy's unconventional attacks on cities and villages, which lead to disabilities and physical and mental harm to the general public, especially people with disabilities.
