Unveiling mobile vans with the aim of timely intervention in crises

The unveiling ceremony of welfare mobile vans with the aim of timely intervention in crises with a neighborhood and place-based approach was held in the presence of the deputy minister and head of State welfare organization and the temporary resident representative of the United Nations Development Program office in Tehran.

According to Public Relations and International Affairs, the unveiling ceremony of Welfare Organization's mobile vans was held this morning in the presence of Dr. Seyed Javad Hosseini, Deputy Minister and Head of Welfare Organization, and Aishani Madaganguda, the United Nations Development Program's temporary resident representative in Tehran.

Dr.Hosseini said in this ceremony: Today, with the cooperation of the United Nations, 16 mobile vans have been added to the services of the welfare complex to carry out timely interventions in crises with a location- and neighborhood-oriented approach. He stated that control and reduction of social harms can be achieved through timely intervention and added: Crisis intervention has structural and local levels. The head of state welfare organization continued: Mobile vans provide the possibility of intervention in the peak areas of social harms, so that we can act with professional intervention in the discussion of prevention. In addition, Aishani Madaganguda, the temporary resident representative of the United Nations Development Program office in Tehran, stating that this cooperation was carried out in line with the United Nations Global Fund's program to fight AIDS, said: Currently, 39.9 million people in the world are suffering from AIDS. He continued that 1.4 million of these people are under 15 years old. She emphasized: The United Nations cooperates with the governments with the slogan of strengthening the health system so that all people are included in the program and no one is left out of receiving services.
