According to the Public Relations and International Affairs report, Dr. Seyed Hassan Mousavi Chelak, Deputy Director of Social Health at State Welfare Organization, said: "The issues that UNDP (United Nations Development Program) or other international organizations work on are cross-border issues; for example, poverty, old age, and disability are not specific to a particular country or region, but rather have a nature that transcends borders."
He added: "The intelligence of countries in interacting with each other will enable them to have better management in these areas." The Deputy Minister of Social Health of the Welfare Organization stated: "Better management of these issues depends on us having opportunities to increase knowledge and share experiences, both in the field of policy-making and in the field of implementation."
The Deputy Director of Social Health of the Welfare Organization said: "Field visits are opportunities to transfer experience, and even virtual platforms can be used to transfer knowledge and global experiences. Within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international institutions, we consider ourselves obliged, as a specialized department and a large social organization, to participate in these collaborations based on the priorities of the Welfare Organization, the framework of legal duties, and existing capacities."
Mousavi Chelak added: We are interested in defining new areas for cooperation; perhaps it will be an area that starts for the first time in Iran. While welcoming the patterns and models that other countries have implemented and provide to us, we will localize and implement them with our ecosystem. He emphasized: There is an interest in implementing projects in Iran that start from here. The Mother and Child Project was one of the projects that started in Iran and is a successful example of this approach.
Saeed Khademi, the cross-sectoral advisor and public and international relations officer of the Welfare Organization, said: “What happened last year in the relationship between us and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) was a valuable and reliable experience.” Referring to the cooperation carried out last year, he said: “We benefited from the services of the United Nations Development Program in receiving 17 vans, which were very efficient and were unveiled on November 20, 2024. Also, the purchase of 70 container units was another joint initiative, of which 6 units were used in 2025.
