18th National Committee for Coordination of Addiction Treatment Centers

The head of state welfare organization at the 18th National Committee for Coordination of Addiction Care, Treatment and Harm Reduction Centers related the subject of Article 16 of the Anti-Narcotics Law, stated that there are 60,000 drug addicts in the country and the whole of these centers will be equipped to iris scans.

 According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs, "Ali Mohammad Ghaderi", the head of State Welfare Organization at the 18th National Committee for Coordination of Treatment and Harm Reduction Centers for Addicts, which Was held in  Mehre-Soroush treatment center said: in the discussion of drug addicts, the police force has an arrest view only on the basis of duty, but it has been able to do great things with diligence and awareness and follow the whole rehabilitation cycle from the beginning to complete recovery with a helpful view, which is commendable.

The head of state welfare organization continued: 60,000 drug addicts aged 18 to 65 due to family events, lack of financial resources, etc. were caught in the trap of addiction in the country; therefore, we must help people to rehabilitate and develop skills with the participation of classes so that they can return to the normal cycle of life.

He emphasized on enumerating the problems of treatment care centers and reducing the harm of addicts and announcing the infrastructure and maximum capacities of the partner devices and in the end reminded: all treatment care centers and reducing the harm of addicts should be equipped with iris scanning device to identify addicts.

It should be noted that the head of State Welfare Organization, along with a number of members of the National Committee for Coordination of Treatment Centers for Treatment and Addiction Reduction, the subject of Article 16 of the Anti-Narcotics Law, visited Mehr Soroush Rehabilitation Center on the sidelines of the meeting.
