According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department, Seyyed Hassan Mousavi Chelak, the head of the Social Work Association and the deputy head of the Social Health Department of the State Welfare Organization, said at the National Conference of Iranian Social Workers, referring to the philosophy behind naming the slogan for 1404 based on social work and empowering policy making: "This year's global slogan has focused on solidarity and sustainable well-being. This is an excuse to talk about these slogans for a year."
The head of the Iranian Social Workers Association, stating that we social workers should help people experience a happy life, said: "Social workers should be a balm for wounds that have been created for any reason. We social workers are strictly adhering to the country's current laws, but we consider ourselves responsible, questioning, and demanding in the field of policy-making. Criticism of social workers is not a criticism of destruction, but a criticism of construction."
The President of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Federation of Social Workers, in a message on the occasion of the National Social Worker Day in Iran, said at the conference: The motto of the Federation for 2025 is "Strengthening Intergenerational Solidarity for Sustainable Well-being". This motto emphasizes caring for and respecting generations to build strong communities, a sustainable environment and sharing wisdom for a better future.
Machiko Ohara added: This motto reflects the social work profession's commitment to building better connections in a way that values the wisdom and experience of our elders and empowers our younger ones to overcome the challenges of today and build a better tomorrow.
The Secretary General of the World Federation of Social Workers also said in a message to the conference: "The Iranian Association of Social Workers has always been a decisive player in the field of social work at the international level and I am sure it will be. Many of us have learned a lot from you and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your activities at the national and international levels." Rory Treville added: "I know there have been tensions between governments over the past year, but I want you to know that as social workers, you are a member of an international family. A proud member, a treasure, and a member who makes our family meaningful because of you
