She clarified: The diagnosis of the cause of disabilities is the result of research and observation that was conducted in 278,000 households with disabilities, and it was determined that 11.5 percent, equivalent to 9.5 million people, of Iran's 85 million population have disabilities.
He continued: One million and 550 thousand people of the country are covered by the country's Welfare Rehabilitation Deputy, and 83 percent of them are in the under-five decile, 94 percent are cared for at home, and 6 percent of them are cared for in rehabilitation centers. Abbasi added: About 1,500 day care centers and 1,500 day care centers are active in the country, and various services, including nursing fees and subsidies for the disabled in the field of rehabilitation, are provided to the target community. He continued: Efforts are being made to receive a 6-month delay in the increase in nursing fees and rehabilitation center tariffs from the Planning and Budget Organization and pay them to the target community by the end of the year. The Deputy Head of Rehabilitation Affairs of State Welfare Organization stated: We cover 96 percent of live births in hearing screening and 84 percent of children aged three to five in vision screening. Abbasi emphasized the operationalization of the 10 main approaches of the Welfare Organization, including empowerment, opportunity creation, neighborhood-centered work, family-centered work, decentralization, and participation in the provinces, and called for the use of social organizations and associations alongside them.
