"Negligence"; most common type of child abuse/no increases in child abuse with Coronavirus

The Deputy for Social Affairs of State Welfare Organization described the most common type of child abuse and mistreatment of children as "negligence".

In an interview with ISNA news agency, Habibaullah Masoudi Farid stated that about 9% of calls connected to social emergencies are related to child abuse: "Mostly child abuse is physical abuse, and if we want to properly examine the issue of child abuse, we must move towards preventive measures.

"One of the preventive approaches is to take supportive measures for families     to prevent child abuse and the issue of educating of life skills to families," he said, noting that some child abuse may be child abuse. Massoudi Farid, pointing out that the most common type of misconduct with children is neglected and lack of attention to the basic needs of children and said that major children are neglected.
