Dr.Barati, Director General for prevention and addiction treatment of SWO said that, 1280 Drop-in Centers are throughout the country which providing different types of services to the addicts. He reiterated that in state welfare organization has initiated a project called Comprehensive Addiction Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers since 15 months ago in which treatment and post-treatment services are provided in the field of social, educational and occupational supports. Elsewhere he made remark that in prevention affairs, SWO’s plan is community based approach which prevention programs are carried out in educational centers, kindergartens, university schools, and office buildings of industrial units.
State welfare organization along with its mission to decrease the number of addicts in society provided different services to addicts in Drop-in centers.
