According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department, the first International Sustainable Development Exhibition is being held from November 10–13, 2025, at Tehran’s Mosalla. The exhibition focuses on five main themes: sustainable ecosystems and renewable energy, innovation and smart technologies, sustainable investment and financing, smart cities and sustainable infrastructure, and the circular economy and social responsibility. It provides a platform for exchanging knowledge, experience, and the latest global technologies.
On Wednesday, November 12, Seyed Javad Hosseini, Head of the Iranian Welfare Organization, visited the Sustainable Development Exhibition. The Welfare Organization has an active presence at the event, and its booth is dedicated to showcasing a range of empowerment, social, and technological programs and initiatives.
Hosseini first visited several active booths at the exhibition and became familiar with their activities. He then proceeded to the Welfare Organization’s booth, where he toured its various sections.
At the entrance of the booth, a photo of Faramarz Hazrati—a martyr of the 12-day war who was killed during the Zionist regime’s terrorist attack on the Welfare Organization office in Qasr-e Shirin—has been displayed.
Several knowledge-based companies specializing in assistive and rehabilitation equipment are present at the booth. The Welfare Organization’s public participation section and its online contribution platform—which facilitates public donations—are also introduced in this space.
Other key elements featured at the booth include the Social Emergency Unit with 300 government vehicles and 125 non-government vehicles; presentations of prevention, rehabilitation, and addiction treatment programs; and the national amblyopia screening program, one of the organization’s most successful national initiatives. Additionally, the Welfare Organization’s 13 transformative strategic pillars are showcased on displayed panels, drawing visitors’ attention. In another part of the program, the Head of the Welfare Organization met with Omar Khair, the Ambassador of Malaysia. During the meeting, Seyed Javad Hosseini stated: “In a meeting with the Welfare Organization’s experts earlier today, I cited Malaysia as an example. When Mahathir Mohamad was Prime Minister and established the welfare state, I reviewed all of his government’s resolutions, all of which included educational and social attachments. We feel a deep connection with your country and hope to one day serve you through the Welfare Organization.”So far, ambassadors from China, South Korea, and Japan have also visited the Welfare Organization.
