Iran and Malaysia are countries with a rich heritage in Islamic culture and a strong commitment to family values

The webinar entitled “Review Meeting on the Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Women, Family and Social Development of Malaysia” was held this morning with the virtual participation of Dr. Saeed Khademi, Advisor to the Head of the Welfare Organization on Cross-Sectoral Affairs, Communications, and Head of Public Relations and International Affairs; Dr. Maryam Khakrangin, Director General of the Office of Family and Women’s Affairs of the Social Health Deputy; representatives of the Deputy for Rehabilitation Affairs, the Center for Entrepreneurship Development, Employment and Empowerment, and the Secretariat of the National Council on Aging of the State Welfare Organization; as well as a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a representative of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Malaysia. The Malaysian side was represented by Dr. Sathish El Ranggaya, Secretary-General, along with representatives from the International Relations Division and the departments of Policy-Making and Strategic Planning, Social Welfare, Women’s Affairs, and Population and Family Development of the Ministry of Women, Family and Social Development of Malaysia

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Office, during the webinar Dr. Saeed Khademi, Advisor to the Head of the State Welfare Organization of Iran on Cross-Sectoral Affairs and Communications and Head of Public Relations and International Affairs, introduced the State Welfare Organization and stated: The Welfare Organization, as one of the key institutions in the field of social welfare in Iran, is responsible for supporting vulnerable groups in society. By focusing on persons with disabilities, older adults, orphaned children, women heads of households, and families in need, we strive to strengthen social justice and provide equal opportunities for all.

He added: In this webinar, held through the joint efforts of the two friendly countries of Iran and Malaysia, we have come together to discuss shared issues in the fields of women, family, and social development. This meeting is not only an opportunity for the exchange of experiences, but also an important step toward strengthening bilateral relations between the two Muslim and Asian nations.

Khademi further stated: Iran and Malaysia, both with a rich heritage in Islamic culture and a strong commitment to family values, can benefit from each other’s experiences. Malaysia, as a successful model of social and economic development, with its innovative programs supporting women and families, has inspired many developing countries
