According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department, Seyed Javad Hosseini, Head of the State Welfare Organization, described rehabilitation as a key element of the health system, stressing the need for more effective mechanisms to ensure continuous engagement between the Organization and professional associations.
He added that an efficient health system is one that operates in an integrated manner, requiring the expansion of services while ensuring completeness, adequacy, and equity — especially during the “golden time” of service delivery. Hosseini also highlighted that a community-based approach could enhance social health and national cohesion, noting that such a plan is currently being implemented in Tehran’s District 4 and will later be expanded nationwide, where the Association could play an important role.
Iraj Abdollahi, President of the Iranian Scientific Association of Physiotherapy, noted that according to the latest statistics from the Medical Council, there is only one physiotherapist for every 10,000 people in Iran — a relatively low ratio. He reiterated the Association’s willingness to cooperate in various Welfare Organization initiatives, including home-based rehabilitation and the “Salam” project.

In a meeting between members of the Board of Directors of the Iranian Physiotherapy Association and the Head of the State Welfare Organization, the Association emphasized its readiness to cooperate in the Organization’s projects.
