According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs, Saeed Babaei, the General Director of Children and Adolescent Care and Empowerment of State Welfare Organization, said that at the end of March last year, 612 children were in the nurseries of the Welfare Organization across the country. The highest number of children was in the nurseries of Hazrat Waliasr (A.S.), Fars Province, Mother's Nursery in Kerman Province, Shabir Nursery and Hazrat Amina (PBUH) Nursery in Tehran Province and Imam Ali (PBUH) Nursery in Alborz Province. Elsewhere he mentioned that among the reasons for the reduction of this number, we can mention the active support for reuniting or handing over children to relatives, facilitating adoption and launching the host family plan. For example, the number of children in nurseries in Tehran province was about 250 children at the beginning of 2022, which decreased to less than 100 children at the end of 2022.
