Iran's and Tajikistan cooperative and welfare ministers asserted on more cooperation

The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, Dr. Abdolmaleki said that "Considering the agreements and understandings of the leaders of Iran and Tajikistan and the development of bilateral economic and social relations, rehabilitation and welfare services as well as empowerment of persons with disabilities should be extended in different areas.

"The 13th government has a special emphasis on developing relations with the countries of the region," said Hojjat Abdulmaleki, who traveled to Tajikistan with Iran's president during a meeting with Jamaluddin Abdullahzadeh, the Tajik Minister of Health and Social Welfare. He said: "Considering the agreements and understandings of the leaders of the two countries and the development of bilateral economic relations, it is the duty of the two ministries to realize these understandings'.

The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, while expressing satisfaction with the meeting and congratulating the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, pointed to the cultural and historical commonalities of the two countries and said: Tajikistan has always played an important role for Iran in regional relations.

He continued: "We must hold expert meetings to formulate executive plans and adopt appropriate solutions."

Abdul Maleki noted: "There is a lot of potential for cooperation between the two countries."

Abdul Maleki expressed full readiness to cooperate in all common areas, especially social support, with Tajikistan, adding that the two countries have very valuable experiences in the fields of welfare, rehabilitation services and empowerment of the disabled. The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare referred to the activities of this ministry in reducing social harms, supporting women heads of households, insurance, pension system, reducing poverty, announced its readiness to cooperate and exchange experience in this field. He stressed: "Currently in the Islamic Republic, more than 40% of the drugs consumed in the country are produced by holdings and companies affiliated to the Ministry of Labor Cooperation and Social Welfare, and we are ready to cooperate in the field of drug production and packaging." Let's start with Tajikistan. Abdul Maleki added: "We welcome cooperation and exchange of experience with you in the field of combating the prevalence and epidemic of Covid 19 disease."

Abdullah Zadeh, Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Tajikistan, also congratulated Abdul Maleki on his appointment as Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare and stressed the need to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries. He appreciated Iran for its cooperation and humanitarian assistance to Tajikistan during the outbreak of corona virus and announce their readiness to ink a Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries, which strengthens social services, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan said: "This document is based on international law and principles and its implementation is a priority of Tajikistan's foreign policy." Abdullah zadeh stressed: "Strengthening and growing bilateral cooperation will be provided through the signing of this document." He also called for continued cooperation with Iran to strengthen relations between the two countries. The Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Tajikistan called for joint cooperation between the two ministries and the production of medical equipment and the establishment of a working group to develop joint programs.
