During the war, the Welfare Organization had 17 martyrs and 17 injured individuals. Additionally, 1682 residential units were damaged, with 82 units completely destroyed and the rest suffering between 20% to 80% damage.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the State Welfare Organization, the thirty-third session of the Administrative Transformation Council of the State Welfare Organization was held today with the presence of the President and Deputies of the organization.Fatemeh Abbasi, the Deputy for Rehabilitation of the State Welfare Organization, referring to the damages incurred during the war, stated: “During this period, 39 rehabilitation centers sustained damage, with an initial estimated cost of approximately 12 billion Tomans.”She added: “A center for the care of individuals with intellectual disabilities in Isfahan province alone suffered 6 billion Tomans in damages, and non-governmental residential centers also incurred approximately 11 billion Tomans in damages.”Abbasi mentioned that consultations with municipalities and city councils in the provinces have begun for the reconstruction of these centers, and stated: “Coordination with international organizations to supply damaged equipment and necessary sanitary supplies must also be placed on the agenda.”She also emphasized the necessity of financial support, adding: “Allocating low-interest loans by institutions such as the Barakat Foundation and Alavi Foundation can aid in the reconstruction of damaged centers, and it is necessary for these centers to be introduced to these institutions.”
