According to the SWO Public Relations and International Affairs report, Seyed Javad Hosseini explained that the organization pursues its services in wartime within two important domains and in line with its core missions. These services are defined across three areas, with the first area naturally pertaining to the protection and safeguarding of residents in the SWO’s 24/7 centers.
He added that currently, 5,200 centers under the SWO’s coverage house over 200,000 individuals from various groups, including children, adolescents, the elderly, individuals with autism, and chronically mentally ill patients. Ensuring food, medicine, and fuel supplies for these individuals has always been a priority.
The head of the SWO continued, stating that in this regard, the installation of solar panels in educational and rehabilitation centers has been placed on the agenda and approved to ensure a stable energy supply. Furthermore, all subsidies and unavoidable expenses across 12 categories have been disbursed on time, and in some cases, ahead of schedule.
Transfer of 35,000 Individuals to Safe Zones
Hosseini, referring to protective measures during wartime, said that relocating 180 at-risk centers was among the actions taken, and over 35,000 residents from these centers were moved to safe areas. Additionally, 22,000 individuals were placed with families in a family-centered approach, in cooperation with the judiciary.
He added that in-person rehabilitation services have continued in the centers, and alongside this, remote rehabilitation services have been provided in 1,000 centers. Moreover, over 7,000 students with disabilities received supplementary and reinforcement educational services, supported by 302 specialized trainers.
The head of the SWO highlighted home care services, stating that over 27,000 elderly individuals and those with severe and very severe disabilities have benefited from home care services, continuously provided by approximately 500 centers.
He further mentioned that during this period, around 30,000 individuals requiring treatment were identified, with some of their costs covered by the organization and the rest with the help of philanthropists. Additionally, 63 residential units were adapted for individuals with disabilities, while 15,000 residential units were adapted throughout the year 1404 (Persian calendar).
Hosseini concluded by stating that these actions fall under the first domain, namely the protection and safeguarding of beneficiaries. The second domain of services relates to providing psychological, counseling, and social emergency services to the general public and beneficiaries.
