According to the Public Relations Office of the State Welfare Organization, as preparations begin for the farewell ceremony, funeral prayers, procession, and burial, the organization has assumed a special mission to support vulnerable groups and provide social and psychological services during the large public gatherings.
Nationwide Welfare Taskforce Established
Alireza Enjolasi, head of the Welfare Organization’s Funeral Service Headquarters, announced that a special coordination committee has been formed following a resolution by the national government headquarters.
He explained that all divisions of the Welfare Organization—including Social Emergency services, public participation units, rehabilitation departments, public relations, and other operational sectors—will contribute to the mission.
Many beneficiaries of the organization, including persons with disabilities and vulnerable groups, have expressed interest in attending the ceremonies. Accordingly, planning has focused on facilitating their participation while ensuring that necessary support services are available.
Service Mokebs and Social Emergency Teams
Service mokebs will be established in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad to provide:
- Reception and refreshments
- Psychological counseling
- Social support services
- Guidance and assistance for participants
Specialized Social Emergency teams will also be deployed along the ceremony routes to provide immediate psychological, social, and support services whenever required.
At Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran, additional facilities are being prepared to assist elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups, enabling them to attend the ceremonies more comfortably.
Volunteer forces will also support the organization’s operational teams.
Capacity to Serve 100,000 Participants in Tehran
The Welfare Organization’s plan extends beyond Tehran. Provincial taskforces in Tehran, Qom, and Khorasan Razavi have been mobilized to provide services for participants and beneficiaries traveling to attend the ceremonies.
In Tehran, three service mokebs will operate at:
- The Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare
- Tehran Welfare Directorate
- Daneshjoo Park
These stations will provide medical care, psychological services, social emergency response, refreshments, and guidance.
Accommodation capacity has also been arranged for beneficiaries traveling to attend the events:
- 500 individuals in Tehran
- 500 individuals in Khorasan Razavi
- 400 individuals in Qom
Charitable institutions and partner organizations will also assist in supporting the service stations.
Estimates indicate that the Welfare Organization’s mokebs in Tehran will be able to serve approximately 100,000 participants.
Full Readiness in Qom
Authorities in Qom Province have placed all Welfare Organization dormitories and facilities on standby to host visitors attending the ceremonies.
Two service mokebs will be established along the Prophet A’zam Boulevard, the route of the funeral procession.
Additionally:
- All Welfare Organization vehicles in the province are on standby to transport participants and beneficiaries.
- Social Emergency vehicles and teams will be stationed at key locations to provide rapid support when needed.
Preparations in Mashhad
In Khorasan Razavi Province, the first step has been to organize accommodation for Welfare beneficiaries who will attend the ceremonies.
Their information and needs have been compiled and shared with the local governor’s office.
The second group consists of Welfare Organization staff from across the province, whose accommodation arrangements have also been fully secured by the provincial Welfare Directorate.
