SWO and Iran’s Health Insurance inked a MOU to extend more cooperation

Head of State welfare organization declared that in line with rendering more services for persons with disabilities, SWO has inked a MOU with Iran’s health organization to cover rehabilitation services insurance.

According to the report of public relations and international affairs, a memorandum of understanding was signed between state welfare organization and health insurance in order to benefit people with disabilities from insurance coverage of rehabilitation services in the presence of "Ali Mohammad Qaderi" and "Mohammad Mahdi Nashi".

Ali Mohammad Qaderi, the head of State welfare organization, stated that this MOU is intended to benefit more people with disabilities and to enjoy quality rehabilitation services and these services are valuable to maintain the basic level of life, resilience, reducing pain and more life expectancy.

Referring to the households with several disabled people, the head of state welfare organization continued: we have people covered by welfare who are multi-disabled families and who demand rehabilitation services. This memorandum will soon be implemented in incumbent government. Therefore, we must try to root these services in the budget system of the country so that we can continuously have these services, which are about 59 rehabilitation service codes for people with disabilities, as a targeted procedure in the budget.

In the continuation of this ceremony, "Asghar Kazemi", the deputy for rehabilitation of State welfare organization, continued: in this memorandum, a major part of the cost that is borne by the family of a disabled person who benefits from the services of non-governmental centers is to be paid. So that 70% of the tariff of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy and audiometry center and any other center where people with disabilities receive rehabilitation services will be paid from the place of this memorandum.
