Executive regulation on protection of social vulnerable children was approved

On the proposal of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, as well as in order to identify and protect vulnerable children and adolescents society, the Council of Ministers approved the executive regulations subject to clause 1 of Article (6) of the Child and Adolescent Protection Act.According to this Act, State Welfare Organization which takes primarily responsibility for protecting vulnerable children and adolescents in collaboration with executive bodies, supportive institutions and social workers intends to identify and make empower this group. Also, social welfare workers or law enforcement officers are obliged to in cases of observing children and adolescents without the support of parents in a dangerous situation record information and identify their family and, if they need support, introduce the child and adolescent to welfare centers.
