Urban spaces requires more attention for acceptability

During a meeting in presence with Head of SWO, Dr.Ghobadidana and representatives of ministry of interior, at the 17th  session on Coordination committee and following up the accessibility, Abdolreza Golpayegani »Deputy for Architecture and Urban Planning of Tehran Municipality said that; in order to fulfill the slogan "Tehran is a city for all", we tried to develop fair services for all citizens in the city by accessibility, in this regard the comprehensive plan of Tehran has been developed for easy access of the disabled to the accessibility of urban space and one of our pivotal measures in this regard is the hiring of people with disabilities in the accessibility headquarters of Tehran Municipality. Also in this meeting Alireza Behfar Deputy for Network and Health Council of Iran's broadcasting organization, announced the production of 30 documentaries on the introduction of elites with disabilities in cooperation with the Welfare Organization and reiterated that; movies and election debates of Iran's 2021 presidential candidates will be accessed for the persons with disabilities. He added that respect to the rights of persons with disabilities such as Special Park for these people requires culture building and this fact will be achieved by launching media campaigns. Mehdi Jamali Nejad, Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development of the Ministry of Interior,  as well as said that "Apart from Tehran, we have more than 1,400 other cities that should be trained by council members and villagers and in this line Tehran's budget for adaptation has tripled. He made remark that fixed and mobile polling stations are accessible for maximum participation of people with disabilities in the presidential election.
