During a meeting in presence with minister of labor and social welfare with the representatives of active NGOs in the field of persons with disabilities, these people stated their demands and willing as follows:
· Draw more attention to children with special needs
· Rendering more occupational therapy services in rehabilitation centers.
· Affording rehabilitation aids for children with special needs.
· Social awareness about persons with disabilities in different social media and TV channels.
· Drawing more attention to accessibility principles in different areas.
· Increasing credibility in the treatment sector.
· Increasing nursing allowance to needy families.
· Construct residential units for PWD in throughout the country.
Also in continuation of this meeting head of SWO, said that main mission of SWO is to prevent of disabilities in different forms, in other words our policy is decreasing the number of disabled people in future. Elsewhere he made remarks that to follow up and more supervision on protection law on the rights of persons with disabilities is supposed to launch a committee in SWO to supervise on approved budgets in line with protection law on the rights of people with disabilities. At the end of this meeting, he reiterated that; groups of persons with disabilities which due to some issues can’t be keep at homes; we should take into consideration more treatment services for them in boarding centers.
