According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the State Welfare Organization, Arezou Zekaei-far stated: "Coinciding with the blessed Fajr Decade (commemorating the victory of the Islamic Revolution), 18,335 employment projects in the form of self-employment and employer-based models have been launched across all provinces of the country and integrated into the production and service cycle."
She added that of the total 18,335 employment projects, 16,501 are self-employment initiatives and 1,834 are employer-based (job-creating) projects.
Zekaei-far also reported the commissioning and grid connection of 231 solar panels with a capacity of 5 kilowatts each, aimed at generating sustainable income for the organization's beneficiaries.
The head of the center noted that the total monetary value of the employment projects inaugurated during this period exceeds 4,000 billion rials (approximately 4 trillion rials), funded through the organization's internal resources and low-interest facilities. This reflects the continued progress in economic empowerment and financial independence for the target population.
She explained that these initiatives have directly created employment and income for 18,104 individuals and indirectly benefited 231 others.
In the housing sector, Zekaei-far announced the handover of 1,468 residential units to households with two disabled members and other families under the organization's coverage nationwide during the Fajr Decade. The total value of these housing projects is estimated at more than 1.5 trillion rials.
She concluded by expressing hope that, with the valuable support of benevolent philanthropists and the participation of other supportive resources, the organization will witness accelerated progress in providing safe shelter and sustainable income opportunities for its beneficiaries.
