According to the public relations and international affairs of the Welfare Organization of Iran, a meeting was held between the head of the Welfare Organization and non-governmental organizations on Sunday, January 21, at the Welfare Organization's headquarters in Tehran.During this meeting, Seyyed Mohammad Javad Hossein, the head of the Center for the Development of Non-Governmental and Cultural Participation of the Welfare Organization, stated that in the current period, the Welfare Organization has intensified its efforts to collaborate and partner with the non-governmental sector. Since July of last year, a working group has been formed to analyze the system of issues and solve the challenges and problems of non-governmental organizations, and weekly meetings have been held with non-governmental organizations to create a common platform and dialogue room for interactive movement with the non-governmental sector. He added that this communication and dialogue took shape during the 12-day war, and in the current situation of the country, it was decided to hold this meeting. Continuing the meeting, Seyyed Javad Hossein, the head of the Welfare Organization of Iran, explained the reasons for people's protests about their livelihood, stating that since 2018, the trend of poverty in Iranian society has increased, and now, in this decade, the population below the absolute poverty line has doubled. He added that today, from a sociological perspective, we are not facing a defective economic structure, but rather a phenomenon that has gone beyond an economic issue and has become a chronic structural problem that threatens stability and challenges social stability and governance effectiveness in a meaningful way
