The ideal age of timely intervention for Autism treatment is 2 years old

Interim Head of state welfare organization pointed out that 2 years old is the best age for intervention in treatment and care of autism patients and said: the intervention age is currently 6 years old in Iran, which should be reduced to 2 years old in cooperation with the ministries of health, education and welfare organization.

According to the report of public relations and international affairs, Dr. Seyed javad Hosseini, the Interim Head of welfare organization, in a meeting with the CEO of the Autism Association, emphasized the need for epidemiology and early identification of autism patients.

Stating that the global prevalence of autism has been declared as one in 100 people, he said: Unfortunately, our identification in the country is between one and two tenths of percent.

The interim head of welfare organization continued: this problem of identification must be solved with the joint cooperation of the ministries of welfare, health and education and reduce the age of identification by synergy.

He also said about the cooperation of the National Autism Association with the welfare organization: We are always with the association and you suggest that the association enter as a model in every province by setting up centers.

The interim head of welfare organization further emphasized the necessity of holding the international autism congress and added: Aging and autism are growing and the prevalence of autism is high due to the increase in identification and for this reason, they need attention.

In the continuation of this meeting, the CEO of the National Autism Association, while appreciating Dr. Hosseini's attention to the autistic patients in the Exceptional Education and Welfare Organization, expressed the concerns of the autistic patients.
