Works by Artists with Disabilities Will Enter International Arenas

According to the Public Relations and Information Office of the Kerman Provincial Welfare Organization, Dr. Saeed Khademi, Advisor to the Head of the State Welfare Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Cross-sectoral Affairs and Communications and Head of Public Relations and International Affairs of the Organization, stated at the closing ceremony of the 7th Regional Theatre Festival of Persons with Disabilities, “Kavir,” that the State Welfare Organization is fully prepared to support the participation of artists with disabilities in national and international festivals and events. Emphasizing the necessity of synergy and collective action, he noted that theatre can play an effective role as a platform for cultural and spiritual rehabilitation.

Empathy and Collective Action: A Prerequisite for Major Achievements

Referring to the efforts made in Kerman Province, Dr. Khademi said:
“What we are witnessing today at this festival is the result of empathy, cooperation, and collective effort. As it is said, the world can be conquered through unity; when hands join together, even seemingly impossible tasks become possible.”

He added:“The efforts of the provincial authorities of Kerman and the entire team organizing this festival are truly commendable.”

Readiness to Provide International Support

Highlighting the role of the International Affairs Department of the State Welfare Organization, Khademi stated:
“At the State Welfare Organization, particularly in the field of international affairs, we are fully ready to use our international communication capacities to facilitate the presence of artists with disabilities at international festivals and events.”

He continued:
“I was deeply impressed by the quality of the works and the efforts of the artists participating in this festival, and I firmly believe that these works have the capacity to be presented at higher levels.”

Planning for Participation in Festivals and Performance Tours

Emphasizing the need for coherent planning, the Advisor to the Head of the State Welfare Organization said:
“My request is that this path be pursued through education managers and relevant departments with precise planning, so that we can make the maximum effort to ensure the participation of these artists in national and international events.”

He added:“I propose that the works of artists with disabilities be performed in the form of theatrical tours across provinces and various parts of the country, and the State Welfare Organization will support this process.”

Comparing the potential of art with that of sports, Khademi stated:
“Just as our athletes have brought honor to the country in national and international competitions, including the Olympics, there is hope that artists with disabilities, given the quality of their works, will also shine in national and international festivals and be recognized as distinguished artists.”

He emphasized: “This potential is clearly evident in the art of theatre.”
