Services of SWO for the widows and unmarried women

Director General for empowerment of women and family, Dr.Abbasi during an interview said that SWO has coverage more than 70 thousands widows and unmarried women among 250 thousands female-headed households in country. She reiterated state welfare organization for this kind of target community has considered numerous plans including creation of self-help group with the aim of social development, promoting self-confidence and reducing social harms and microfinance Program, women's job preparation plan, social insurance for rural and nomadic women and girls. Elsewhere she added military exemption facilities for one of the sons of female-headed households who do not have a spouse are other support programs for female-headed households.
